A BIT ABOUT ME

My love for floristry started at a very young age, I love the creativity, the colour and the variety that working with flowers brings. I am fortunate enough to have now turned the hobby I love so much into a career. Aside from floristry, my hobbies include baking (I've been told I make the best Biscotti there is!), various crafts including sewing and crochet, spending precious time with my husband Chris and two children and taking our Cockerpoo out for long and energetic walks!

My favourite flower… I have so many favourites I find it hard to choose! If pushed I love the variety to be found in Dahlias!

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I have recently completed a level 2 in floristry with the British Academy of Floral Art, studying under the tuition of several British master florists. My tutors, fellow students and floristry colleagues have commented that they feel I am a natural in the profession with an eye for detail and I have been fortunate enough to gain much valuable experience in the short time I have been working in the industry.

Most recently, I have undertaken significant work for a successful South-West-based wedding florist as a regular freelancer. This work has included working with a large team of skilled florists on numerous large-scale weddings, including the Grade 1 listed venue where she is the in-house florist. Through this work, I have created numerous installations ranging from arches to mantlepieces and staircases as well as content for the bridal party including button holes and bouquets. Aside from this role, I also create my own handtied gift bouquets from home and have designed and created wedding flowers for a number of local weddings.
