A BIT ABOUT ME
An obvious one but... there's something to be said if you do what you do for a living in your free time too! Setting a pretty table even on an average Wednesday night also gets me going!
You'd usually find me on a good walk, at a national trust house or nibbling on Malteasers watching a period drama.
My favourite flower⦠Clare de Lune Peony, it looks like a fried egg! A cornflower too, simple wild flower beauty.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
I began my career assisting then styling photo shoots for Designers Guild. It's an interiors company who has a large emphasis on flowers which introduced me to the world of blooms! After 4 years, I moved on starting with a career course at London Flower School and never looked back! I've been assisting and running my own weddings and events business since!
I've been lucky enough to work with some amazing florists including WORM London and Edie Rose for experience in events, weddings, workshops and retail. From Bond St window installations for Jo Malone, to wreath and hen workshops.
I've run solo briefs from restaurant takeovers for Fucina London, the Which? Awards, and been part of many couples special days in various styles of venues.
From a small scale brief to the loud and large, I love rolling up my sleeves and working in a buzzy team to create something special. It's a great industry to learn from each other, the glamorous and not so glamorous parts.
I've recently moved to Somerset but have a work base in London, a loyal car and plenty of energy to can cover lots of areas if needed.
LEVEL:
Intermediate - 3 years in floristry
PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK
I love a staircase! Large installations for any occasion are a great opportunity to really get involved in creating an immersive space with happy high impact reactions, however, I also love sitting creating intricate button holes before a wedding day begins.
