A BIT ABOUT ME

I have just started to grown flowers for cutting, I love to explore & travel, and I like to cook in a very relaxed and non-skilled way!

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I have an NVQ Level one in contemporary Floristry (2013)

Having worked in TV, Theatre & Film for around 12 years, I chose to use a little 'resting' time from freelancing to get a very basic floristry qualification. I then jumped straight into working for myself, gathering clients in London and the South East. My first 'proper' job was doing florals for an album launch for Paul McCartney, and then various (smaller!) brand events and weddings followed. I then went to work in Bermuda, as a florist for a garden-style florist shop. After completing my 6 month contract, I returned to the UK, and to working for my own clients, and freelancing for other florists (Rowan Blossom, Jenni Bloom, Wild Willow Flowers).
Last year, I stepped back into the theatre industry, to take up the position of Production Coordinator for Mamma Mia! The Party, at the O2. I still hold that position, but since Covid-19 hit, the show has been closed, and I have re-found flowers.

LEVEL:

Intermediate - 7 years in floristry

PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK

I really enjoy weddings and celebrations, particularly those with an installation element. But, I also like working in a flower shop - talking through flowers with customers is lovely.
