A BIT ABOUT ME

What I love is the outdoors, being around the farm, taking the dog out, faffing around with horses although I don't get to do this nearly enough and being creative in whatever vent that takes. I'm also partial to a little light shopping and dining out with a glass of wine or two.

Favourite flowers… Tulips - I think they can be vastly underrated.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I have worked in floristry for 7 years, training privately then working for a Cambridge based shop before becoming a floristry tutor at The Cambridge Flower School. Since 2019 I have had a floristry business of my own including a full retail shop although more recently havin sole focus on weddings and events.
I have travelled all over the UK for floristry and across into Europe for weddings so I am fully versed in the logistics of event floristry and well as the actually floristry itself.

Working for myself I have taken events from concept to completition, single handedly and running a team. I have also freelanced in other teams and worked effectively with and for others.
I have worked with both fresh flowers and silk, small budgets and vast ones and understand both have their challenges.
I am a fun and easy going person to work with and have on team and will quite happily get on my hands and knees with a dustpan and brush or climb a huge ladder and suspend things from the ceiling.
I have my own vehicle which is large enough to transport a lot of materials so I can assist in this way as well and have a full clean license should hiring vehicles be required.
I work well at speed and understand in events we don't have the luxury of taking all day to create one piece and I thrive on the pressure and atmosphere of event work.
