A BIT ABOUT ME

I am new to floristry but a life long creative, my hobbies are sewing, quilting and embroidery but I will try any creative project. Some of my favourite things are: time in nature and by the sea, a coffee shop with a good book and mooching around cute towns and villages. I’m also a real foodie with a love for anything pasta related.

I studied History of Design in University, so I have a real appreciation for design and colour in all in forms. I love a day looking around museums, craft fayres and flower markets. Changing a love for flowers into career is an exciting new chapter for me.

Favourite Flower… Spray Roses, Nigellas, and Corncockles

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I trained at Flourish Sussex Flower School with the lovely Alicia. I completed the two-week career change course. The course included bouquets, (with a mechanic and hand tied) buttonholes, centrepieces, (urns and bowls) as well as sympathy work. We also created large installations, arches and clouds and a staircase installation. I also created a dried flower wreath.

Later in the summer, for my own business, I have a wedding for which I am creating an outdoor display on a bandstand, and an evening event creating table centre pieces.

I would love to Freelance within another florist businesses to both feel apart of the Florist community and to gain more experience.
