My favourite flower… Hard to say really, there are so many to choose from for different purposes and colourways in addition to the different seasons. I think if I had to choose one I'd say the Rose because really that's not choosing one anyway, the choice, variety, colour and scent you can have from a Rose is as versatile as they are themselves.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
I have trained with Joseph Massie and Philippa Craddock.
I have developed my own floristry business 'Dawn Clements Floral Couture' and have successfully organised and designed florals for 6 weddings so far. I'm a longtime gardener and started my journey in Floristry with a 'Business in Floristry Course' with jmukschooloffloristry in February 2018.
I have since done wedding course and foam free courses with flowers. Do date my last 4 weddings were completely foam free. I am interested in being a freelancer to gain experience from other Wedding florist and to fill the gaps between building up my own business and would love to be considered for any floral opportunities.
My experience within in the industry is mostly with Joseph Massie, where I have volunteered as a helper on many of his weddings and then for myself as I have created quite large scale weddings for clients of my own which you can view from my own website and/or Instagram page. I'm used to working with chicken wire and moss and of course foam.
PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK
I love working on weddings, doing large scale installations for marquees or archways, but really anything to do with floristry. I'm eager to expand my knowledge by learning from other florists whilst using the skills I have acquired to be of use.
