A BIT ABOUT ME

My hobbies including cooking and trying new vegetarian and vegan recipes, pilates and yoga, gardening particularly growing vegetables. This year is my first attempt but I'm loving learning and growing tomatoes, aubergine, radishes, peas and more! I love the countryside and spending time outdoors especially in the Peak District and exploring villages.

A favourite flower… It's too hard to pick just one but it would be between Amaranthus and Green Trick. I am obsessed with anything with a fuzzy texture.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I achieved a distinction in all areas of my Level 2 apprenticeship, and am currently working towards my Level 4 Higher Diploma, continuing my studies at The Floristry School in Sheffield. I won 1st place at Harrogate Show 2023, in the Level 3 student class and also won the student award for the highest overall score in the student classes. In October 2022 I also achieved 2nd place at FleurEx in the student class for a bridesmaid orb.

Since late 2021 I have been working in a florist where I have gained experience in a wide variety of different aspects of floristry from gift bouquets, to wedding work including wired buttonholes, flower crowns, corsages, and some funeral wreaths and sprays.

I adore working on weddings as I enjoy seeing everything come together and knowing it will part of a day that people will cherish forever. I also love that there is always diversity and that no two weddings will ever be the same, and getting to work with materials that I wouldn't usually have the opportunity to work with.
