A BIT ABOUT ME

I love to dabble in Arts and crafts - painting,crocheting and building sculpture mainly to use in my workshop, but I like to keep fit entering events when possible - Completed St. Nicholas Hospice Vietnam Trek 2006, Only the Brave and the Whole Hog 2016, organised many fundraising events (e.g. Supporting Salvation army 2018 - competing in a sprint triathlon and setting up office charity events). I taught Sign language to primary school children, Signed for BBC Children in need. Most of this is now in the background after starting my own Floristry business in 2016.

Interflora Competitions - Rising Star 3rd place 2011 | Nominated for Western Australia Young Florist of the year 2012. Using this achievement to now run my own business providing event flowers and to teach florist workshops.

Currently - Running my own business (Botanical Lace Flower Studio) teaching inspirational Florist workshops and supplying a Botanical Florist service for Weddings and Events. Freelancing for Henny Lynne Flower and Pollen Nation London.

June 2016 - April 2017 - Freelancing for Kings Florist and The Tayler Studios, whilst starting my own business 'Botanical Lace Flower Studio'.

March 2011 - March 2016 - Acacia Flower Shop - Perth Australia Senior Florist/ Assistant shop manager: Developed shop production plans for peak periods. Responsibilities: lead daily store front productivity, organising orders with suppliers, resolving shop and business complaints to a level that increased the shops representation and the store was nominated for 'WA Retailing business of the year 2012' for excellent customer care. Constantly keeping the store up to date with current fashions (by attending shows and networking meetings) and seeking what the present 'shopper' desires, enabled the store to increase revenue. I designed online advertising and email ordering for the store to expand and reach customers overseas.

Nov 2010 - Feb 2011 - Innaloo Florist @ Woodlands - Perth Australia Senior Florist: Daily shop activities. Develop store's website, took bridal consultations, allowing my manager to delegate her time to other business. Her confidence in me allowed me to mentor fellow colleagues; coaching them to provide unified products for our unique store brand.

March 2010 - Oct 2010 - I left the UK and took time to adventure to my birth land of Australia. I entered the world of tourism and become a Rep for Top Deck on an Alice Springs outback tour and worked for Golden Valley Tours. Working on cruise boats and in the booking office promoting and selling trips around Perth.

May 2008 - 2010 - Tudor Rose Florist - Bury St. Edmunds Senior Florist, continued to further my education and widen my career with ongoing courses - 2010 completed NVQ Level 2 Floristry and St. Johns First Aid. Bringing a friendly and enthusiastic member to the team I strengthened client relations and worked with a few celebrities - broadening my portfolio.

Aug 2007 - 2008 Red Velvet - New Market - junior florist After training I took this opportunity to start at the bottom and prove myself. Getting hands on I maintained the shop's appearance, product rotation and processed phone/ shop orders.

Having worked in the business for many years I am happy with any line of work. Confident in Bridal work, Large scale displays, shop based work, wired work and much more.
