A BIT ABOUT ME

Aside from running my Flower Farm and Floristry business (focussing on events), I also have a smallholding with lots of chickens, sheep and a horse, which takes up a lot of my time. When I have any free time I enjoy photography, writing and gin!

My favourite flower… Too many to mention! Probably Amaranthus 'Green Cascade', Ranunculus or Ammi visnaga.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I've grown and arranged flowers all my life. My grandmother (trained florist) took me under her wing from a young age and always had me helping her growing, arranging and spraying various seed heads and containers.

Since then I've trained formally with the RHS (invaluable for growing knowledge and also plant/flower identification) and through my local college obtaining City and Guilds Floristry qualifications. I'm also a member of Flowers from the Farm and through this I've gained a wealth of knowledge through our monthly meetings and workshops from other recognised florists.

Aside from running my own business focussing on growing British flowers, event floristry and workshops, I've also freelanced on large weddings with a number of florists in and around the areas of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire and Wales.

I'm very adaptable and able to follow the creative vision of others and I am comfortable working on large scale installations creating arches, broken arches, clouds, hanging beams, chandeliers, fireplace arrangements, staircases and outdoor installs. I'm adpet at producing table centres, pew ends, garlands, buttonholes, bouquets and anything else required.
