A BIT ABOUT ME

I am a creative person and so when I am not running my business, I love cooking, knitting, reading. I also love being outside, going walking with my partner and our mad Springer Spaniel - 'Bramble'!

My favourite flower… Narcissus, Peonies, Dahlias and Hellebore - I love all seasons and flowers really :)

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I started my journey in Floristry as an apprentice in a Flower Shop in Kent. Whilst working there I achieved my Work-based Floristry Diploma Level 2 and NCFE Level 3 at Plumpton College.
I have also worked with a British Flower Grower, where I have learnt a lot about British Flowers - the different varieties available and how to use these flowers and what is growing on your doorstep.

I worked in the Flower Shop for 4 years, where I learnt everything from the basics of conditioning, cleaning vases and making tea all the way through to Wedding and Funeral arrangements. I loved working through the manic Valentines and Mothers Day periods. I wrote up Wedding Quotes and I was very much involved in Wedding and Funeral work too.

After gaining this experience, I started my own Floristry Business. Starting off by going to Wedding Fairs and doing Wedding Flowers for Friends too. However, shortly after starting on my own, I moved to Leicestershire. So I made another start to my own business. I have been in Leicestershire just over a year now, and I have been slowly building my business in this time. I have focused on just Weddings and I have done some Freelance Wedding Work as well. I have also run workshops for making Christmas and Easter Wreaths.
