A BIT ABOUT ME

I am an artist expat from Texas. I moved to London in 2019 where I discovered floristry. I adore using the natural beauty of flowers to create gorgeous unique works of art. Im an empty nester here (moved for my husbands work) and have time between travels to work.

My favourite flower… Who doesn’t love a romantic David Austin rose or Peony in season. Every flower is beautiful and has a purpose and usefulness in floral design. However, if I had to pick, I’d say hydrangea are my favourite and most used. They are romantic, colourful and cover a nice large area so you can achieve a good bang for your buck.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I received Diploma I in Classic Flower Design in 3/2020 from The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers
I completed Professional Business Course at Judith Blacklock Flower School in 11/2020
I also have an MBA and years experience as a financial analyst.

I worked part time at Colony Florist in Houston Texas 2/2021-9/2021 where I made bespoke arrangements, standard Telefloral arrangements as well as boutonnières and posies for events.

Completed Floral Installations course at McQueens Flower School October 2022.

During mcQueens Floral Installations course I learned how to construct large free-standing tree, flower wall, hanging floral chandelier and landscape installations.

I designed and created table pieces for a large private wedding banquet.

I have created center piece arrangements for a bridal shower.

I made bespoke boutonnières and hand tied posies for various dances and balls

Beginner/Intermediate - Part time for 2 years

PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK

I love everything about working with flowers. I can do hand ties and create gift bouquets. However my favourite work is large installations and events where creativity is involved. I love putting together banquet tables and large arrangements.
