A BIT ABOUT ME

I am a very creative individual and feel my best when transforming flowers into something beautiful for myself and for others. I am extremely passionate about floristry and almost always fill my spare time creating and practising for myself and for fun! I only want to compliment nature in its true form within my designs and my style of floristry is a kind of garden/wild natural style. I am a total foodie, love art, passionate about sustainability, meeting new people, running, hiking, photography and just generally being outdoors (anywhere in nature!) as well as travelling.

My favourite flower… I have two favourite current floral faves, the Clematis flower and Hellebores.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

I have completed the level 3 floristry unit at Open Study College online and attended the British Academy of Floral Art for one of their Floristry Units as well as a year in an eco-friendly florist in Cambridge.

I have been working in an eco-friendly florist in Cambridge over the past year and started off as a florist assistant but quickly got assigned as one of their head florists. This role gave me plenty of experience in managing their social media content, creating the shops floral designs for the website, small scale weddings and generally the everyday running of the shop. I was also in charge of creating bold and exciting window displays, funeral tributes, everyday bouquets, wedding flowers, urn arrangements, table decorations and wreaths. Everything I have learnt and made so far has been with the focus of using sustainable mechanics and in the wild garden/natural floristry style.

I have been making/selling my own festive wreaths over the past two years and have begun to build a floristry profile for myself to share my work and practises that I complete in my own free time. Aside from this, I have travelled all across the world to work doing various jobs non-floristry related. These jobs however have gained me valuable life experience such as working really well in a team but being equally as capable to work on my own and with experience of changing jobs and entering new workplaces frequently.

PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK

Interested in all types of floristry but would really like more experience with events and weddings in particular. Generally would love the chance to do any type of floristry freelance work though.
