A BIT ABOUT ME
I am passionate about textile art and design, so if I'm not creating designs with beautiful flowers I am working on another textile project. I teach textile workshops , in knitting, crochet, felt making and spinning.
I also like to keep myself fit and am a keen road cyclist and wannabe mountain biker ( without the skill)
My favourite flower… I am an old fashioned rose kind of girl...garden roses with scent are my favourite
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
I have been a florist for over 20 years, having worked in busy london Florists, as well as owning my own shop in Kent.
I now freelance and take on events , mainly wedding work.
I have exhibited at Leeds Castle flower Festival creating installations of flower and textiles.
I have confidence in all aspects of floristry and a wide knowledge of the industry. I pride myself on excellent customer service.
I have worked in several busy London florists, early in my career. I then went on to open my own shop which is still going strong today although under new ownership.
I specialise in wedding work but am a confident all round florist.
I can cope with a busy time pressured environment, producing work quickly and efficiently and yet to a standard of excellence. I am a friendly, outgoing person. I enjoy meeting and working with people and the challenge of new ways of working.
My passion is colour and texture and I like to unite the two in my floristry. Natural and wild is my style of floristry but I am happy working with tropical if the brief dictates. I enjoy the challenge of developing new ideas and ways of working and welcome the opportunity to do so.
