A BIT ABOUT ME
My hobbies include reading and walking, taking in nature and travelling to new places and countries. I’m passionate about floristry and it hardly feels like a job. Previous to floristry I studied fashion but feel this is now more of a love and something that comes naturally to me day to day, something I enjoy in my free time.
I enjoy going for food, the cinema and the theatre in the west end when my schedule permits me. I love all things Harry Potter and J.K Rowling and also collecting unique 50 pence pieces.
My favourite flower… Rannunculus as they only come around at a certain time of year and I’m always in awe of their layers and varieties
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
I started my career in West Malling Flowers from 2015, here I was awarded runner up BFA Newcomer of the year. I then moved onto Sweet P the florist in Sidcup, Kent for around six months until I became a florist at Neill Strain Floral Couture widening my skills hugely, creating designs I could only dream of, from large arrangements for houses, hotels and events, Christmas tree decorations and my own contracts with businesses that I managed on a weekly basis, my time here was a year until I moved to Mrs Bouquet in Bexley, where I was the main florists creating weddings, funerals and day to day bouquets, ordering flowers from wholesalers and running the shop alone. I have had work experience with Shane Conolly creating the archway for the Queens 90th birthday celebration in 2016 and I was featured as a rising star with an article id written in The Florist magazine in October 2017.
I am a qualified florist currently studying my Level 4 Diploma in Floristry and have a Level 2 diploma and Level 3 diploma all awarded Distinction by City and Guilds.
PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK
Celebration Bouquets I’d say I specialise in, however I feel weddings are something I am most passionate to create perfection for. I am happy for most work types and feel confident in creating, however these two are my favourite.
